Catalyst 10.4 Treiber für Linux
Unterstützt werden alle Desktop Grafikkarten, bis hin zur HD5970, und alle Mobility Grafikkarten, bis zur
HD4800 Serie. Insgesamt wurden fünf Fehler behoben und auch die aktuelle Radeon HD4290, die wir im neuen 8er
Chipsatz verbaut finden, wird unterstützt. Neu ist auch die Unterstützung für Ubuntu 10.04 early look. Alle

AMD Catalyst 13.4 Proprietary Linux Display Driver
Neben dem Catalyst Treiber-Update für Windows-Betriebssysteme hat AMD für die Grafikkarten-Serien Radeon HD 5000, HD 6000 und HD 7000 auch aktualisierte proprietäre Linux-Treiber zum Download bereitgestellt. Für ältere Produkte der Serien Radeon HD 2000, HD 3000 und HD 4000 ist der Catalyst 13.1 Legacy der aktuellste derzeit verfügbare Treiber. Derzeit werden die Distributionen Red Hat Enterprise Linux suite, Novell/SuSE product suite und Ubuntu offiziell unterstützt. System Requirements:
- Xorg/Xserver 7.4 and above (up to 1.13)
- Linux kernel 2.6 or above (up to 3.8)
- glibc version 2.2 or 2.3
- POSIX Shared Memory (/dev/shm) support is required for 3D applications
NOTE: If a Linux 2.6.11 or newer kernel was built with CONFIG_AGP enabled, the kernel AGP frontend is required to load the fglrx kernel module. To identify whether your kernel with CONFIG_AGP enabled, look for CONFIG_AGP=y in the kernel config file, or if the ‘agpgart’ module is loaded
System Recommendations:
For optimal performance and ease of use, the following are available:
- Kernel module build environment
- Kernel source code include either the Kernel Source or Kernel Headers packages
- The RPM utility should be installed and configured correctly on your system, if you intend to install via RPM packages
